James Anthony Mariano's artwork can often be described as energetic, mysterious, and beautifully triumphant. The artist primarily works with acrylic and oil paint, incorporating applications of texture, collage, and an understanding of color theory.

His abstract and surreal work often combines elements of spirituality and existentialism with the struggles of overcoming depression. Using painting as a form of mindfulness, the artist seeks to capture the beauty present in the world and a sense of optimism against the challenges of our experiences.

Mariano has studied and created fine art throughout his life, taking private classes throughout his childhood, and more recently, with Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia, PA.
